How to Whitelist an E-mail Address within Yahoo Mail

Expecting an important email to your Yahoo Mail account? You may want to add the sender’s email address to your list of safe senders to prevent it from being sent to your Spam folder. There are two different ways to go about doing this.

Check your Spam folder

Method 1: Check your Spam folder. If you see an email in there from someone you want to add to your whitelist, simply check the box to highlight the message then click on the “Not Spam” icon from the menu above. Future e-mail from this address will now go to your inbox and never into your Spam folder. Of course, this only works after the fact. Method 2 will show you how to create a filter to send emails from certain senders straight to your inbox.

Create a Filter

Method 2: Create a filter. You can create a filter to automatically send emails from certain senders straight into your inbox. To do so, click on the “Settings” link (gear icon) near the top right of the Yahoo Mail window, just underneath the “Home” icon. A sidebar menu will appear on the right, near the bottom of this sidebar click on “More Settings“. Now select “Filters” from the list that appears on the left side of your screen then click on the “+ Add new filters” link.

We will assume you can handle the rest.
