Remove a Mapped Network Drive that is Stuck
Recently removed a mapped network drive from a PC. When I tried reusing that drive letter it threw an error staying that it was still in use.
I resolved it by opening up a command prompt and entering the following command:
net use
This revealed the mapped network drives and associated letters. I then used the following delete command to remove the stuck mapped drive:
net use /delete Z
Where “Z” was the drive letter I wanted to remove. Hope this helps!
