This article will show you how to quickly and easily add and use the Brave Search engine within your Mozilla Firefox browser.

Add Brave Search to Firefox

Follow the instructions provided below if you want to add Brave Search (or any other search engine) to the Firefox Search Shortcuts section.

Open the desired search engine home page, navigate to

Right-click within the address bar at the top.

At the bottom of the menu, click Add “Brave Search” (this only appears if sites include a header in the page pointing to the OpenSearch XML file with the necessary URLs).

Alternatively, you may click on the address bar of any tab, and beside This time, search with: select the Brave icon. You will see now another Brave icon has appeared. Now click on the Settings icon (the wheel on the right bottom corner of the box). In the Default Search Engine dropdown, select Brave. You should now be able to search directly from the address bar of your browser.
