To hide Gallery from Windows Explorer using the Windows Registry Editor follow the steps below. Alternatively, you may skip the steps below and just download my compiled registry Gallery link removal edit using the button below the steps listed:
- Press the Windows key and type regedit in the search bar. Then, open Registry Editor from the search results and select Yes on the User Account Control pop-up window.
- Navigate to the following registry path:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\CLSID\{e88865ea-0e1c-4e20-9aa6-edcd0212c87c}
- Note, if the Key/Folder for {e88865ea-0e1c-4e20-9aa6-edcd0212c87c} does not exist, you will need to create it by right clicking on CLSID and selecting New > Key.
- Then, look for System.IsPinnedToNameSpaceTree in the right pane and double-click to open it.
- If it does not exist you’ll need to create it as well by right clicking in a blank area on the right pane. Then select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value
- Replace New Value #1 with System.IsPinnedToNameSpaceTree and press enter.
- Ensure that the value data is set to 0 and click OK to save the changes.
- You’ll need to restart Windows Explorer from Task Manager or simply restart your PC.
