Restore the Classic Windows Photo Viewer within Windows 10
Windows 10 comes with a new default “Photo Viewer” app which lacks a few features from the previously utilized “Windows Photo Viewer“. The old photo viewer was basic, simple and fast which is why I loved it. I loved it so much I found a way to restore it within Windows 10. And here’s how you can do the same thing.
Restore the Old Windows Photo Viewer
Simply copy and paste the following code into Notepad. Save the file as “viewer.reg” and double click on the file to add the code into the registry. This will essentially allow us to know set the old “Windows Photo Viewer” as the default “Photo Viewer” app.
