How to Disable Chrome Tab Cards
The new Tab Hover Cards feature introduced in the recently released Google Chrome version 78 isn’t bad. As I understand it the Tab Hover Cards feature is still under development. Perhaps it will improve, but as it stands now it is just an annoyance and I would like to disable it and get back to my tool-tip upon tab hover. This article will show you how to do just that.
Disable Tab Hover Cards in Chrome #
- Within the address type the following text and press the enter key: chrome://flags
- Within the “Search flags” box enter “Tab Hover” and press the enter key.
- From the “Tab Hover Cards” drop down box select “Disabled“.
- Restart Chrome using the handy Relaunch button that appears at the bottom right of your screen.
Please note that altering any “flags” may be temporary, meaning this change may work for a couple of versions but may revert to default with a future Chrome update.
